Isha Ambani isn’t seen much publicly or on social media. But, when she does make an appearance, it always makes the news. This time, once again, Isha Ambani has been featured on Fashion and Costume Stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania’s official Instagram page in a new black and white photograph that has left social media users confused.
In this post, Isha Ambani is seen wearing a dress by the luxury brand Maison Schiaparelli. But what caught people’s attention is the props next to here. Isha Ambani is seen with two twin toy babies, one of which she is holding in her arms. In the caption, Anaita Shroff Adajania wrote, “Isha and her Toy twin babies in Schiaparelli custom haute couture,” followed by the hashtags #RobotsNotReal. She also tagged Isha Ambani’s private Instagram account in the post and further wrote, “These aren’t her babies, but custom couture toys.”
For those who don’t know, Isha Ambani is mother to twins Krishna and Aadiya.
Some of the comments on the post were of people who were confused, thinking the robot babies are actually Isha Ambani’s kids. It was after the confusion that Anaita Shroff Adajania edited her post and mentioned that the robots are not real.
One comment read, ‘This is going overboard and creepy,’ while another read, ‘Disturbing picture.’ One user said, ‘Creepy to another level! Whoever thought of this!’ while a different user added, ‘Legitimately curious about the point of this…’
But what are these robot babies all about? According to reports, the bionic dolls represent Isha Ambani’s twins, Krishna and Aadiya Piramal. The robot dolls have been created by Schiaparelli as an ode to a bygone era, reflecting the fusion of early 2000s technology and 90s tech nostalgia. The robot babies are from Schiaparelli’s spring 2024 couture collection. Isha Ambani carried the twin robot babies to accessorize her custom look.

For those who don’t know, Daniel Roseberry, Schiaparelli’s Creative Director, introduced the robot baby on the runway during the Schiaparelli Spring 2024 couture collection at Paris Fashion Week in January. It has previously been used as an accessory by celebrities like Rihanna, Fredrik Robertsson, and Maggie Maurer.
