Pakistani actor Alyy Khan has extensively worked in Bollywood. He often makes the headlines for recalling incidents of working with actors in the Hindi entertainment industry. He was a part of the Farhan Akhtar directorial Don 2. Having closely worked with Shah Rukh Khan in the film, he has now recalled an incident which cost the director Rs 2.5 crore.
Opening up about the same, he revealed that during the shoot of Don 2, SRK had once broken camera equipment worth Rs 2.5 crore because of his overconfidence. The shoot of the sequence had happened in Berlin, he was sitting beside the actor, who was very confident about his driving skills. He shared that Farhan was hiding in the backseat of the car so he wouldn’t be visible to the camera. During the scene, Priyanka Chopra was supposed to drive to them, after Khan delivers his iconic dialogue, “Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, naamumkin hai,” he drives off.

Recalling the shooting experience, he explained that while the 59-year-old actor nailed the scene in the first shot, he messed it up during the second shot. During an interview with Dawn News, Indian Express quoted him saying, “They decided to attempt the shot again. Priyanka pulled over, exchanged a look with Shah Rukh, he delivered his line, and took off. But this time, a stunt car that was supposed to reverse and brake rammed into them because Shah Rukh missed the mark slightly.”
Khan shared that the actor’s confidence cost the producer Rs 2.5 crore. He added, “As he turned left, because he was late by a couple of seconds, the other stunt rammed directly into us.” Immediately SRK turned to him, concerned, and asked him if he was fine. “Everyone gathered around, checking if everything was okay. But there was a loss of €300,000 (Rs 2.5 crore), because the camera equipment had been damaged. Gone in a flash,” he said.

Being the humble person that he is, the Jawan actor accepted his mistake and called himself “overconfident.”
Reportedly made on a budget of Rs 76 crore, Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra co-starrer Don 2 was jointly produced by Excel Entertainment and Red Chillies Entertainment. It had reportedly minted Rs 210.35 crore worldwide.
