After impressing the audience in theatres, Anurag Basu directorial Metro… In Dino was finally released on Netflix on August 29, 2025. As a part of the promotions, the cast came together for a chat. Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Sara Ali Khan, and Fatima Sana Shaikh are sitting together and discussing modern relationship problems. The video has been released on Netflix India’s YouTube channel.
As the cast was asked a question about open relationships, Tripathi was the first to oppose the idea. He questioned how a relationship could be open. Quoted by News18, he said, “Relationships aur bank accounts open kaise reh sakte hain? OTP kisi aur ko dedoge?” While everyone went on to chuckle, he added, “Kuch cheeze toh theek hain na. Evolve hone ka matlab yeh thode hai ki 3-4 rishte bana lein.”

On the other hand, Sara disagreed with his point and stated that the people in the relationship need to be on the same page if they want to be in an open relationship. Adding his take on the same, Kher mentioned that the man in question was looking for variety. Gupta pointed out how the woman who had asked the question shouldn’t think that if one is against open relationships, that means they haven’t evolved. Aditya piqued, “Stay true to yourself. If you don’t feel good about it, that’s fine.”
Released on July 4, 2025, Metro… In Dino is said to be a spiritual sequel to Life in a… Metro (2007). Both directed by Anurag Basu, the films are an anthology consisting of four stories of contemporary couples living in Mumbai. How all their lives are interwoven is the crux of the film. The film stars Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sensharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Ali Fazal in lead roles.

For those who don’t know, the movie was earlier announced in December 2022. While the shoot started shortly after, it concluded in February 2024. The shooting happened across Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Lucknow.
