‘The Obituary Of Sufi Motiwala’: The Traitors Ex-Contestant Pens A Hilarious Note After Exit From The Show

By admin Jun28,2025

Fashion critic and content creator Sufi Motiwala has been making the headlines for his participation in Prime Video’s new reality show The Traitors. The show is hosted by Karan Johar and sees the journey of 20 well-known personalities and how they navigate through feelings of trust, betrayals and hurt from their friends. The recent three episodes have been released on the streaming platform, leaving the audience with various emotions. Amidst everything that happened on the show, Sufi’s eviction came as a surprise. He was ‘poisoned’ during the dinner party co-contestant Purav Jha, who was the only ‘traitor’ left in the game after the eviction of Elnaaz Nourouzi.

He has now taken to his official social media handles, to bid the show goodbye and penned a heartfelt yet hilarious “obituary” note after his murder on the show. The social media personality in the note, which he shared on Instagram, spoke about his journey on the show, his personal growth and how he wants everyone to see him as more than just his online persona. He posted the note, alongside snapshots of his eviction from the show and included a few photos of the bouquets he received. He captioned his post, “The obituary of Sufi Motiwala. They got me gurl 🙁 in another reality I win.”

Addressing his fans, he started the note by writing, “Dear caption avoider, I said yes to this show with one thing in mind – to show the world (or at least one person) that I’m more than just what’s on my Instagram. I wanted to show you the shades of Sufi: the crazy, the senti, the whimsy, the unhinged, and the purely psychotic. Also the embarrassing, the dumb, the cuckoo, the ‘wtf is she doing?’.”

The 21-year-old content creator expressed that he often felt the need to be perfect and liked by everyone. Reflecting on the pressures of social media, he added, “I CANNOT be perfect. But lately I’ve realised: No one can,” he wrote. “Since I started this journey at 19, I’ve been growing up in front of you. Now at 21, I’m happy, I’m content, and baby, I’m still just 21. We ought to reach the Met Gala by 45 at least.”

Expressing his gratitude towards everyone, he concluded his note by stating, “To my lovers and haters (y’all are wild but sometimes constructive – I give 10s where 10s are due). And my hair is a mystery never to be fully understood, so don’t even BIATCH. That’s all. Thank you for watching, follow for more. Bye.”

Talking about the show, The Traitors is an Indian adaptation of the internationally acclaimed thriller reality show of the same name. 20 celebrities, including actors, social media influencers, and content creators, are taken to an isolated place where they will have to vote for the three traitors among them. According to the rules, the selected traitors will then have to pretend to be innocent, all the while “murdering” the innocent contestants. Every episode, one player gets killed and their photo will be dropped by Karan Johar from the wall of players. The contestants will have to gather around a trust table, discuss and lock their answers on who they think are the traitors.

Anshula Kapoor, Apoorva, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Nourouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Janvi Gaur, Jasmine Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, and Uorfi Javed will be seen as contestants on the show.

Released on Amazon Prime on 12th June, the makers will release 3 new episodes every Thursday at 8 pm. Hosted by Karan Johar and shot at the Suryagarh Palace of Jaisalmer, the winner of The Traitors will reportedly win a prize money of Rs 1 crore.
