Sara Tendulkar delighted her fans with a special pina colada recipe packed with protein and fibre.
This protein-packed, fiber-rich drink aids recovery, digestion, and hydration, and tastes like dessert.
Sara Tendulkar, a qualified nutritionist and biomedical scientist, continues to carve out her own space in the wellness and healthcare industry, far from being known solely as the daughter of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
She recently delighted her Instagram followers with a unique twist on a tropical favourite: a protein-packed, fibre-rich pina colada smoothie.
Sara Tendulkar wrote, “Basically, a pina colada that went to the gym.”
In her Instagram post, Sara provided the full recipe for her wellness-friendly version of the classic drink.
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen mango and pineapple
- 1 tsp ground flax seeds
- 1 tsp shredded dry coconut
- 1 tsp soaked chia seeds
- 1 scoop vanilla whey protein
- ½ cup coconut water
- Dash of coconut milk
According to Sara, this drink delivers around 25 grams of protein, gut-friendly fibre and natural electrolytes. She explained that it “fuels recovery, supports digestion and keeps you hydrated all while tasting like dessert.”
Sara’s Other Wellness Tip For Followers
This isn’t the first time Sara has shared a health-forward recipe on her social media. Earlier, she posted a reel explaining how to boost your skincare routine by incorporating matcha – a tip that quickly gained traction among her followers.
Opening Up About Her PCOS Journey
In a conversation with Vogue India, Sara spoke about her long and emotional battle with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), detailing how the condition influenced her approach to skincare, self-image, and health.
She revealed, “I’ve gone through phases of detox juices, but I don’t really follow one singular approach. I begin my mornings with water, nuts and a cup of black coffee because I like working out early. The coffee is non-negotiable. On other days, it depends on my schedule and mood.”
A Balanced, Sustainable Approach to Wellness
With guidance from her endocrinologist, Sara adopted intermittent fasting, weight training, and progressive overload. Her trainer, Anjali, shared that “Managing her protein intake, losing weight gradually, and building muscle helped balance her hormones naturally,” adding that Sara is now free from PCOS.
Today, Sara’s daily habits are rooted in balance, mindfulness, and sustainability. She focuses on listening to her body, eating nutrient-rich foods and enjoying movement without extreme restrictions, proving that health is as much about mindset as it is about routine.
