IPL Live Score 2024, DC vs KKR: Pant, Iyer to keep pleasantries aside

IPL Live Score 2024, DC vs KKR: Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders –Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) icons Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and youngster Rinku Singh enjoyed a six-hitting contest in the build-up to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Delhi Capitals (DC) at Visakhapatnam. “They both (Russell and Narine) have a lot of power. Russell, the Muscle, hits such big sixes. Even Sunny (Sunil Narine) hits big sixes. You look at their arms and mine. I do not have that much power, I just time the ball,” Rinku said ahead of the match.

IPL Live Score 2024, DC vs KKR: Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders – Delhi and Kolkata have been neck-and-neck when it comes to H2H encounters. With their first game dating all the way back to 2008, DC and KKR have crossed paths on 32 occasions and the result couldn’t be any more even-sided. KKR have their noses ahead but just by that much, winning 16 matches, while KKR 15 and one match ended in no-result. Gautam Gambhir holds the record for scoring the most runs in KKR vs DC games, with 569, followed by Shreyas Iyer’s tally of 552.

IPL Live Score 2024, DC vs KKR: Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders – While much of the focus was on Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw played an equally blinder of an innings. After being benches for the first two games, Shaw, in his first match of the season, scored 43 off 27 balls – almost a throwback to his swashbuckling best. As per his own admission, Shaw is told to ‘always whack the ball’, and the way he was going about his business, was reminiscent to 2018 – the year Shaw led India to an Under-19 World Cup win and pummeled a century on debut.

IPL Live Score 2024, DC vs KKR: Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders – Rishabh Pant looked assured against Punjab Kings, confident against Rajasthan Royals but finally fluent against Chennai Super Kings as the Delhi captain took us down memory lane during his entertaining half-century. Rishabh looked the Pant of old… well, almost. But the fact that it took just three games for Pant to be unfurling some of his trademark shots such as the one-handed six bodes immensely well for the Capitals. It’s a long season and if they have to have a shot at the Playoffs, Pant, who just returned to cricket after a gap of 16 months, must play more such knocks.

IPL Live Score 2024, DC vs KKR: Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders – If KKR have cut a figure of consistency, DC haven’t exactly replicated that pattern. After going down to Punjab Kings by 4 wickets and then the Royals by 12 runs, something seemed off about the Capitals, but their performance against Chennai Super Kings was top-notch – near clinical – as Delhi came out all guns blazing to slay one of the best teams of the season. DC may be down in the points table as of now – seventh with 2 points – it’s never too late to spring a revival and make a dash at the top.

IPL Live Score 2024, DC vs KKR: Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders – Having failed to qualify for the Playoffs across the last two seasons of the IPL – finishing 7th each – the Kolkata Knight Riders appear a more solid, crisp and assured bunch. Call it the Gambhir effect or whatever, but there is something different about this KKR unit. Sure, it’s still early days in the season but whatever little KKR have dished out, they are exuding confidence. After beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 4 wickets and then Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 7 wickets, KKR are positioned second on the table with 4 points as the only other undefeated team along with table-toppers Rajasthan Royals, who lead the pack with 6 points.

IPL Live Score 2024, DC vs KKR: Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders – What’s up y’all. Hello and welcome to what promises to be another riveting IPL 2024 contest between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders. Gautam Gambhir up against his old team, a franchise where he began his IPL career at and even returned to briefly. He will also be up against an individual he knows pretty well – DC coach Ricky Ponting – but outside all the individual rivalry, the bigger picture is the points table, where KKR would be eager to join Rajasthan Royals to make it 3 wins from three matches. The Capitals on the other hand, finally notched up a win, but would be wanting to build on it further.
