Recently, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn leased out a commercial office space in Andheri, Mumbai, which he owns, to filmmaker Kabir Khan, according to Square Yards.
Multiple reports state that Kabir Khan Entertainment, which is the production house of the filmmaker, will pay a monthly rent of Rs. 7 lakh to lease Devgn’s property. The agreement for the same was formalized in September 2024, according to reports.
Reports also state that the leasing of the property has incurred a stamp duty of Rs. 1.12 lakh. Devgn’s office is situated in Signature Tower, a project by Lotus Developers. It is on the Veera Desai Road in Oshiwara.
Square Yards also states that the leased property is 3,455 square feet and includes three car parking spaces. The agreement is secured with Rs. 30 lakh deposit, and a lease term of 60 months, which is five years from the date of agreement.
Meanwhile, Devgn, and his wife Kajol, own multiple properties in Signature Tower. According to a report by Mint, back in April 2023, Devgn purchased five office units in Mumbai’s Andheri West for Rs. 45.09 crore. This deal was made two years after he bought a home in Juhu for Rs. 47.5 crore.
In fact, Signature Tower is a popular investment for Bollywood stars. Other actors have also purchased commercial spaces in the same building, such as Amitabh Bachchan, Sara Ali Khan, and Kartik Aaryan.
On the professional front, Devgn will next star in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. Apart from Devgn, it also stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Arjun Kapoor. It’s scheduled to release on 1 November 2024. Also, Devgn will be seen in the sequels of his films De De Pyar De and Raid.
Meanwhile, Kabir Khan’s last movie was Chandu Champion, starring Kartik Aryan. It performed average at the box office while receiving praise from the audience for the story and performances.
