Social media was abuzz on Monday with netizens lashing out at YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, content creator Apurva Mukhija, aka TheRebelKid, and comedian Samay Raina for their vulgar and disgusting statements on the latter’s comedy show India’s Got Latent. After much backlash from the netizens and action being taken against them, singer B Praak has now condemned them and revealed that he has canceled his appearance on Ranveer’s podcast.
I met Ranveer at a cafe in Dharamshala on August 13th, he was with his girlfriend.
A few people came to the cafe to felicitate him.
So much fame at such a young age, has got the better of him.
Hope no one goes to his podcast show ever again.

Taking to his official social media handle, B Praak called Ranveer’s statements “pathetic” and even urged other comedians to “save Indian culture.” Taking to his Instagram account, the musician shared that he has decided to pull out of the podcast because of the content creator’s “pathetic thinking” and the words he used. He added, “Samay Raina ke show pe jo ho raha hai, yeh hamara Indian culture nahi hai. This is not our culture at all.”

Quoted by the Free Press Journal, the 39-year-old musician went on to criticize Ranveer and said, “Aap apne parents ki kaunsi stories bata rahe ho? Is this comedy? This is not at all comedy! Logon ko gaaliyan dena, logon ko gaaliyan sikhana—yeh kaunsi generation hai? I don’t understand what is this!” He slammed BeerBiceps and expressed how despite promoting “Sanatan Dharma and spirituality” and interviewing many big celebrities for his podcast, “fir bhi aapki soch itni ghatiya hai?”
Questioning comedian Jaspreet Singh, who is one of the panel members on India’s Got Latent, the Ranjha singer said, “Sardar ji, aapko pata hai ki aap ek Sikh ho, kya aapko yeh baatein shobha deti hain? What are you promoting?” He went on to urge Samay and other comedians participating on the show to“protect Indian culture.” The media publication quoted him saying, “Logon ko motivate karo. Yeh sab ghatiya content mat banao, please! Don’t make content which will ruin the future generations. Make content that motivates the youth.”

While others are yet to react to the ongoing controversy, Ranveer has taken to his official social media handle to apologize to his followers. He went on to share that it was a “lapse of judgement” on his part as comedy is not his forte. The episode also saw Ashish Chanchlani as a guest alongside Ranveer Allahbadia and Apurva Mukhija.
