Disney+ Hotstar has stopped working for people in India on Wednesday afternoon and many of them have shared their issue on social media. The video streaming platform is available on mobile, web and your smart TV and it seems the service is not accessible for people on the web and their big screens.
People are seeing this message, “Something went wrong, we are having trouble playing this video right now.” The platform is also giving you the option to retry activating the account or get help.
Popular outage tracker Downdetector.in is also showing a massive uptick in reports for Disney+ Hotstar and over 98 percent of the complaints are regarding the video streaming service. The outage seems to have hit around 12:35 PM IST on Wednesday with people living in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad among others facing the issue.

We independently verified for the outage and were able to access Disney+ Hotstar on mobile but the web version on the TV seems to have been affected. Now the mobile app is riddled with some issues as people are seeing the India vs England 3rd ODI in Hindi audio and the video quality is not upscaling even if you are watching it on high-speed internet network.
