The latest episode of The Kardashians Season 6 featured Kim and Khloe Kardashian’s visit to Mumbai for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. Their revelations on the show felt the internet buzzing, but desi fans are not happy about Kim’s perpection of India. The reality TV star was seen walking around the streets of Mumbai and expressed how India isn’t the way she expected it to be.
According to reports, the episode followed them during sightseeing which included a visit to an ashram with Jay Shetty. She was also seen walking around the Mumbai Colaba market and her comments left netizens baffled. Khole explained, “We’re only here for 48 hours, and we do have a schedule. We’re planning to go to some of the local markets before we have to go to the wedding so we can enjoy as much of India as possible.”
When talking down the street Kim admitted she thought the marketplace would look more like something out Aladdin. Kim in the viral clip can be seen saying, “I thought it was going to be like the marketplace. This is like the streets.” She later added, “What you see Aladdin going through and stealing some bread from. This is where I thought we were going.”

Fans were quick to remind Kim that the 1992 Disney classic is set in the fictional Middle Eastern city of Agrabah and not India. One user commented, “Kim Kardashian walking around Colaba Causeway in Mumbai, looking disappointed because she thought the markets would be like Aladdin, is exactly why America needs a better education system.”
Another comment on Reddit added, “Perhaps the most vapid take she’s ever had and lbr that’s saying something.” Fans wondered if Kim was aware thad Aladdin’s city is not a real place. A user wrote, “Does…does she know the city in Aladdin is not a real place?” Another said, “I’m gonna pretend this was scripted and not that she thinks the Middle East and India are the same. Yes I know there are people that think that but I’m choosing to believe it because otherwise I’m gonna give up on humanity.”
