Mahavatar Narsimha has taken the box office by storm. Despite its clash with Mohit Suri directorial, Saiyaara, co-starring Ahaan Panday & Aneet Padda, the animated film has gripped the audience’s attention. With jampacked theatres, in the last few weeks, it has surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark. Yes, you read that right! According to media reports, the film has made a total collection of Rs 106.05 crore, making it India’s highest-grossing animated film.
As the audience continues to flood the theatres to watch the movie, the speculation surrounding its much-awaited premiere on a streaming platform started circulating online. Now, the makers have taken to their official social media handle to dismiss reports of it releasing on OTT. Taking to Instagram, they announced that currently the film is running exclusively in theatres worldwide. They went on to add that they haven’t yet made any deals with streaming platforms.

Headlining their post as “Stay Away From Rumours!,” they added, “We’ve been receiving a lot of buzz about Mahavatar Narsimha coming to OTT soon, but let us clarify: For now, our film is ONLY available in theatres across the whole wide world. We have not finalised any OTT platforms yet. Please believe only authentic updates shared from our official handles. Your trust keeps the Sanatani roar alive.”
The caption of the post read, “We’re grateful for the excitement around Mahavatar Narsimha and the OTT buzz — But as of now, the film is ONLY playing in theatres worldwide. Directed by Ashwin Kumar, Mahavatar Narsimha is produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai under the banner of Kleem Productions and is presented by Hombale Films. The film was released on July 25, 2025, in 2D & 3D and in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages.
For those who don’t know, the movie is a part of a franchise that spans over a decade. The Hombale Films and Kleem Productions’ ambitious animated franchise will see the chronicle of Lord Vishnu’s seven avatars. The films in the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe (MCU) are titled: Mahavatar Narsimha (2025), Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dwarkadhish (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), Mahavatar Kalki Part 1 (2035), Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 (2037).
