May 20, 2025, became a special day for the people eagerly waiting for an update on War 2. On the occasion of Tollywood actor Jr NTR’s 41st birthday, the makers of the upcoming actioner released the much-awaited teaser of the film, leaving the internet abuzz with reactions from everyone. Amidst all the mixed reactions from the netizens, a video recently went viral on Instagram where fans of Hrithik Roshan and the RRR actor were seen dancing, celebrating the teaser while watching it on the big screen in a theatre.
Shared by Instant Bollywood on Instagram, the video was captioned, “War 2 teaser is a blockbuster! People are going mad in private fan screenings of the teaser across India.” On the video, “War 2 Mania,” can be seen written. In the video, the fans are seen going crazy watching the teaser. With their phones out, flashlight on, some throw confetti as the actors make their entrance on the big screen.

Taking to the comment section of the post, netizens flooded it with fire and red heart emojis. One wrote, “Not war2 mania. Talking about the teaser, it received mixed reviews from the netizens as well as critics. A section of the internet was excited to see the two actors together, battling it out, but some were disappointed over the makers using the same template story for the film. Some even pointed out the excessive usage of green screen and CGI during action sequences, criticising the makers for not putting in much effort. However, a certain section was left awestruck because of Kiara Advani’s bikini scenes in the teaser.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is produced by Yash Raj Films. Slated for a release on August 14, WAR 2 stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The upcoming spy-actioner is a part of YRF’s spy thriller universe, consisting of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, Salman Khan’s Tiger franchise, Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir, and Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film Alpha. The sequel of the 2019 film will see Roshan reprising his role of a RAW agent, Major Kabir Dhaliwal. The first installment of the franchise starred Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor in pivotal roles.
